I was messing around and found a really easy way with better ranks and quality...

E.g.: Go to Administration > User Groups > Add name for new group > goto description > click add image (add for example link image address http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/5/51/US_Army_E-9_CSM.svg/50px-US_Army_E-9_CSM.svg.png) and save.. there u go...

After that go to Administration > Forums > User admin-ranks > add new rank > type name and just copy image address from user groups (right click on image - copy image address) and paste it to "Rank Image (Relative to phpBB2 root path)"

Then go management, find some user that fits to you, scroll down on the bottom and there You have "Rank Title", so add him which on You created. Then just tell him to go post some message on forum, and hes rank with image will appear.

How simple is... :razz:

That is not strictly true .....

The reason you can not add them yourself is because of the way the forum scripts are written, they only allow these to be uploaded to the root folder which can only be accessed by a forumate admin such as tanduy.

but if you have icons or ranks you can ask for them to be uploaded.
