Deciding to create a forum is the easy part, promoting it can seem like the hardest part, that's for sure. Over the years I've started up many forums and the promotion of the forum is really what defines whether it becomes a success or not, because what's a forum with no members, topics or replies?
So, in this article I'd like to share with you a few tips on how to promote your forum. First of all, it's going to require a bit of action, the forum isn't exactly going to promote itself, so what you've got to do first and foremost is set some targets and strive to meet them.
In every forum promotion effort, when there's nobody on the forum at all, it's time to call your friends in, they can really help to start some engaging conversation which is always a necessity if you want anyone to make a registration and actually post a new topic or reply.
The next step, is to utilize social media, there's an absolutely golden opportunity in social media to get interested members to your forum.

Hey these are really very nice tips. I think here are some most important point which helps us in promote a forum website.
First of all you need to submit your forum directory to various directories and also social bookmark them in various social networking sites.

Then post articles on few web pages and promote them.

Post few discussions on your forum and promote about those discussions on social networking sites.
